“ The ambience was modern with electric decor. Inside the restaurant it was unusually cold, so I advise you bring a jacket. The menu had a variety of options to choose from and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the birria, it was exceptional. The service was fast and friendly, giving us great food recommendations. They also have a really nice cocktail menu. I will definitely be coming back! ”

“ My partner and I went to "Papamigos" last evening for dinner and were totally pleased with our meal. I ordered a coconut margarita, and it was delicious............. We proceeded to order two appetizers. I wanted guacamole (which was awesome and served with multicolored corn chips. My partner ordered a California Roll. It was huge and delicious........ thoroughly enjoyed by both of us. Our main course arrived. I had two hard-shelled tacos which were stuffed with ground beef, cheese, chopped tomatoes, and lettuce. I was brought four different types of salsas to put on the tacos. Sour cream was drizzled over the tops of the tacos which gave the plate a more appealing look to it. My partner got an order of Mango Habanero chicken wings. He enjoyed the nice little bite that they gave him. All in all..........I would highly recommend this nice restaurant to hungry people in the Coconut Creek area and from near and far. It is located by the turnpike and on State Rt. 7.......it's well worth the trip. Our waitress was just as nice as one would want and the ambience was very nice. ”

“ Papamigos has quickly become my go to spot for outstanding tacos and margaritas! The bartenders are very attentive and interactive. You can tell they are seasoned professionals and craft some of the best margaritas I've ever had! The tacos are a must, specifically the gringo and Birria. The nachos are also a fave because they understand the importance of layering the nacho ingredients so each bite has a little bit of everything. The place is very clean and always seems to be playing my favorite music. Anytime I can drink and "chair bop" makes for a good experience! They also have TV's that play the latest sporting event, but not at an obscene volume. I recommend coming for their happy hour (3-6pm Mon-Fri) so you can try the food and get half price on cocktails! ”

“ This location is tucked away in a little plaza on State Road 7 in Coconut Creek. Parking was convenient and this spot was very easy to find. It was a bit noisy when we entered and seemed a bit busy for a random Thursday night but I guess that's a good thing! We were seated promptly with little to no wait time and our drink order was in within 5 minutes of being seated. The decor of this place looked really cool and seemed like a great casual spot for date night or friends night out. Our server was very helpful and provided me with a few recommendations as I told her it was my first time here. The menu had both sushi and tacos, so it was a Mexican-Japanese fusion joint. I ordered the Rainbow Roll and my bf ordered the Pulled Chicken Tacos. The tacos had the option of corn or flour tortilla. My sushi roll was perfect, no complaints - and they even accommodated my addition of jalapeño on top of my roll. The tacos were juicy and came with 3 each. The portion sizes were huge and well worth your buck. Last call was around 8:30 (as this establishment closes at 9pm) and our server was courteous enough to come by to ask us if we wanted any other drink orders in before closing. She even asked us if we wanted a complimentary drink (to our additional drink orders) as the bartender made an extra by mistake. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Papamigos and will likely return! ”

“ I have to admit; sometimes you just are feeling lazy and just don't have the energy nor the patience to cook. Given that it was getting late, I decided to venture out with the family to try Papamigos in Coconut Creek! Going inside, there was a good amount of people inside and more coming in as we left, which is always a great sign. Tonight, we ordered 1x birria beef quesdilla and 1x butcher burrito (carne asada, onions, cilantro, queso fresca, guac, tomatoes and chipotle mayo). Moving on with my review; it's been a hard time to find a Mexican spot that stands out recently; but, this might be the one. Both entrees, despite the prices, were generous in size! I loved the birria beef quesdilla as it was grilled perfectly, packed with super juicy/tender shredded beef, and melted cheese! The burrito overall packed a lot of flavor between the seasoned yellow rice, guac, citrus cumin marinated beef, cilantro, and tomatoes. My only critique was that the beef was kind of tough, but I still enjoyed the burrito very much. Overall, Pappamigos on the surface just seems like an ordinary Mexican restaurant, but I do find that their menu is unique and the food Is very fresh. Until next time, I'm going to give Pappamigos for now a solid 4/5 stars! ”
